Safety and quality
On a construction site, safety and quality are the same discipline. A well-planned, well-run site is a safe site, and a safe site is where good work gets built. We hold ourselves, our trades and our suppliers to the same standard on every project, whether it is a custom home, a multi-family building, a place of worship or an industrial facility. Our goal is simple: everyone goes home safe, and every project is built right the first time.
- Site-specific safety planning before work starts, including hazard assessments for each phase of the build
- Daily site checks and regular toolbox talks so crews and trades know the hazards of the day's work
- Fall protection, excavation and trenching safety, scaffold and lift inspections, and proper PPE on every site
- Site orientations for all workers and visitors, with clear access control and housekeeping standards
- Work carried out in line with WorkSafeBC regulations and the BC Building Code
- Coordinated trade sequencing so crews are not working on top of each other, which keeps sites safer and schedules tighter
- Quality checkpoints at every stage: layout, formwork and rebar, framing, building envelope, mechanical and electrical rough-ins, and finishes
- Inspections and sign-offs completed before work is covered up, plus a thorough deficiency review and final walkthrough at handover
- Our 2/5/10 warranty, so we stand behind the work after the keys are handed over

Functional Concepts
Use of space; Floor plans; Functionality; Ideas brainstorming.
Preliminary Scope of Work
Your Have-to’s; Want-to’s; Wish-to’s; Point form list of work to be done.
Preliminary Estimate
A breakdown of anticipated investment ranges; Soft costs; Design; Preparation; Construction; Finishes.
Preliminary Calendar

Construction
Deconstruction & Prep
Move out. Protection of remaining materials; Removal of unneeded existing materials; Clean up and haul away debris; Photo documentation.
Drainage
Address structural support; Drainage; Civic service as required.
Mechanical
Rough in of all HVAC; Electrical; Plumbing; Gas; Sprinklers; Low voltage vacuum; Audio; Video; Wifi; Security; Integration.
Insulation & Drywall
Exterior Wall; Attic; Soundproofing; Wall and floor prep; drywall or applicable materials.
Finishing
Exterior: Rain screen; Cladding; Roofing; Drainage. Interior: Floor covering; Tile; Cabinetry; Plumbing; Electrical Fixtures; Finish Carpentry; Painting.
Clean up & Detailing
Cleaning of construction debris from site and interiors; Final details; Completion of all municipal or other related inspections.
Completion
Checklist
The My House comprehensive construction checklist is reviewed by your Project Manager prior to walkthrough.
Walkthrough
The Project Manager walks with you through your project to identify remaining deficiencies or corrections to be made.
Deficiency Finish
There may be items that need fixing, replacing or finishing. We complete all deficiencies as quickly as materials become available.
Move In
Our goal is to move you in as soon as possible, once all applicable inspections are complete and work is finished to your approval.
Photos & Referral Program
We take pride in photographing the completion of your project and provide you with a CD/memory stick of all construction photos.
Warranty
We offer a comprehensive 2/5/10 warranty based off the Home Protection office of BC, and the CHBA construction performance guidelines.
Service
Regularly-scheduled check-ups and service work keeps warranties valid, and prevents costly future repairs.
